Everything we needed for our stay, offering great recommendations for hiking routes. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean, although it was a bit warm for us at night. A nice place in an excellent location.

Hotel was much more basic than expected, especially compared to other 3 star mountain hotels where we stayed on this trip. The elevator did not work throughout our 3 night stay so we had to carry our suitcases up and down during checkin/ceckout, as well as climb up after tiresome day trips. Seems to me that an emergency service call could have been made rather than having all hotel guests climb up and down throughout the weekend (people were there on vacation after all). Breakfast was basic compared to most other hotels on this trip, for example all pastries were cold and did not have a "fresh" feeling.

A hidden gem in Espot

Arriving at Hotel Saurat seemed like home. The staff were cute, guiding us with local hiking tips. Enjoying breakfast on the balcony with fine views made our morning!

The on-site restaurant was closed during dinner, disappointing. It would have been nice to wind down with some tea facilities in the room after a long day.

Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Room was clean, attractive, spacious and quiet, although hotel is on main square of town with traffic during the day. Bathroom comfortable and clean. Balcony comes with room and terrific view. Beds were excellent. Hotel outstanding for the price.

Breakfast comes with the room, but was inadequate and unappealing.

Hotel Saurat is a lovely hotel right in the center of Espot, with spacious bedrooms with their own balconies. It's a perfect base for exploring the mountains, with a good breakfast and a nice bar to enjoy a beer after a long hike. The English speaking staff are particularly helpful.

The hotel could use some updating.

Modest but warm room

Excellent and beautiful location in Espot, very close to the lake of Sant Maurici, a day-long hike in the mountains, and the centre of the village. Extensive breakfasts with bacon and cheese, as for instance provided by the excellent staff.

Some rooms come with dated decor that feels tired, while others could benefit from better sound insulation!!! A more reliable plumbing system would enhance comfort, especially during peak times when bathroom odors were too noticeable!!!

I enjoyed a scenic view every morning while having breakfast, filled with good local food options. The location by the river added a peaceful touch. I loved having dinner with the soothing sound of flowing water nearby. The restaurant was closed in the evenings, which reminded me of a missed opportunity to relax without venturing out again after a day of hiking. The staff were attentive and ready to offer local insights for exploring the area. One drawback was the inconsistent attendance at the reception, which occasionally caused delays. The ambiance felt cozy and inviting.

The hotel is centrally located, just a short drive from the Gran Pallars Espot Ski Resort, perfect for our family adventures. The staff were eager to help us settle in, and we had a good dinner by the river, thanks to their recommendation.

My kids wished there were more activities for families.

We had a boss time here, mate! The best bit was the staff, really sound and helpful. Plus, the breakfast was proper tasty! Just wish the restaurant stayed open longer, though. But overall, great cozy vibe and fab location for hiking!

It was just a strong match for a brief pit stop in Espot with decent value for money. The pet-friendly atmosphere was enjoyable, as they allowed our dog to join us on the terrace during breakfast. Bring some earplugs if you're sensitive to noise from neighboring rooms.
